A man who sustained life threatening injuries after he was hit by a drunk driver has made successful accident claims and has been awarded £1.1million in compensation.
The man sustained a traumatic brain injury, and multiple fractures to his face, left leg, left shoulder and arms. He also had lacerations on his scalp and lost the majority of his tongue.
He was in a coma for six weeks after the accident and was in hospital for a further 2 months and then spent 9 months in a rehabilitation unit. He now needs a part-time carer.
