A 9 year old girl who was delivered early by caesarian section in 2001 after a car crash has launched accident claims against her Father and the doctor who treated her.
The girl’s Mother was a passenger in the car driven by the child’s Father when she was 28 weeks pregnant. They were involved in a car accident.
The Mother was rushed to hospital and the baby was delivered by caesarian section. The baby had a tube inserted to divert fluid away from her brain.
According to the claims made by her Mother, the girl was 3 years old when the tube became blocked and she suffered brain damage as a result of the blockage.
The Mother is now claiming damages from the Father saying that the accident happened because of his negligent driving and is also claiming damages from the doctor involved in the case.
