A construction worker who worked on the new Wembley Stadium has made a successful accident claim and received £6,500 in compensation.
Ian Pearson, who is 36 and from Nottinghamshire, was working as a steel erector on the football stadium in 2005 and because he was issued with the incorrect goggles he sustained permanent damage to his eye when a piece of galvanized metal broke off and shot into his eye.

He has been left with permanently blurred vision.
