Compensation for Office Worker

An HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) employee has received a substantial personal injury pay out after suffering a near fatal blood clot whilst at work.

The 53 year old woman developed a clot behind her leg as a result of sitting at her desk for long periods. She had warned her employees this might happen as she had previously had a similar clot.

The HMRC dispute this accident claim and say that they take the well being of their employees seriously.

Angela Lamberton claimed her concerns were ignored and stated "Now I will be on medication the rest of my life and the fear that I will develop another blood clot will always be with me.
