A 26 year old former bricklayer, from Dobwells, Cornwall, was awarded over £2m in compensation as a result of the injuries he suffered in a car crash near Liskard in 2003.
Anthony Bennett was a rear seat passenger in a car driven by his friend Jonathan Stephens. Unfortunately, Mr Stephens, 19, died in the accident which occurred when Mr Stephens lost control and hit a boulder.
As a result of the crash, Mr Bennett was left a paraplegic and wheelchair bound. He stayed in hospital for several months after sustaining serious spinal injuries.
Following long running negotiations between the two sides, Mr Stephen's insurers finally settledwith accident claims in the region of £2m. Neither Mr Bennett nor his family were in the court.
