A man who was paralysed as the result of a road traffic accident has been granted the go ahead by a judge to seek compensation through an accident claim.

The man had been riding his motorbike with his girlfriend near Northwich in Cheshire when a new driver pulled out from a side road. He was forced to brake suddenly and both he and his girlfriend were thrown into the air.

He is expected to receive a substantial compensation settlement because of the severity of his injuries.
