It's been reported today that, a man who sustained head injuries resulting in brain damage in a road traffic accident has won a landmark legal case against his insurers.

The man who is from Cheshire was a passenger in his mother's car which was being driven by one of his friends at the time the accident took place. The friend was driving without insurance and went on to be convicted.

Prior to the ruling it looked as if the personal injury compensation claim was likely to be unsuccessful because it was claimed that he had given his friend permission to drive the vehicle.
