A man whose back was broken in aroad trafficaccident has received a accident claim payout of £300,000.

The man was involved in a head on collision in Crawley, West Sussex in June 2006. He suffered four broken vertebrae, head injuries and fractures to his hand and thighs.

He needed extensive hospital treatment and operations. He now walks with a stick and his ability to work has been affected.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident was convicted of drink driving and banned for 4 years.
