Air France announced last week that it is to make preliminary personal injury compensation payouts to the families of the victims of Flight 447.

The initial payouts will be 17,500 Euros and Air France lawyers making contact with the families of all 228 victims to ensure that the money gets to them.

A multiple accident claim of this type can be very complicated and take a great deal of time to resolve. So, the initial payouts have been made in respect of the families of the victims.
