A woman from Salisbury has been successful in her bid for compensation for the injuries she received when the car she was a passenger in crashed in August 2005.

Carol Coleman was a front seat passenger in a car being driven by her husband. The car spun out of control and landed on its roof. Mrs Coleman was treated in hospital for a broken back and muscle damage affecting all her limbs.
Mr Coleman's insurance company accepted liability but disputed the accident claims sum of £500,000. The matter was resolved before it reached the High Court, for an undisclosed amount. Mrs Coleman also has the option of the sum being increased at a later date if her condition deteriorates.
