A Father is making accident claims because of an incident in a class room in which his son's eye and brain were penetrated by a paintbrush.
The boy fell onto a classmate's paintbrush at a primary school in Motherwell in April 2003. The paintbrush penetrated his left eye and brain leaving him with permanent disabilities.
The boy, who was 10 at the time of the accident, was painting sheets of paper for the scenery for a school production. He was kneeling over the painting when a girl knocked into him causing him to fall onto another classmate's paintbrush.
The boy was hospitalised for over a month after the accident. He has no sight in his left eye and has been left with several permanent disabilities.
