Farmers and other livestock owners who have public footpaths and rights of way over their land are being advised to look closely at the risk to walkers from their livestock. This week a woman has been successful in her accident claim and has been awarded £250,000 in personal injury compensation.
She was trampled and then tossed by a cow whilst out walking her dog through a field owned by a farmer. She sustained brain-damage in the incident and is now confined to a wheelchair.
