OVER 100,000 ITCHY SOFAS SOLD
It’s been a busy day with calls from itchy sofa injury claimants coming in fast. People are in real distress. After all, who expects a new sofa to create alarming health problems? I’ve also been wondering how many people still have no idea their sofa is the cause of their skin reactions. It’s estimated that over 100,000 itchy sofas have been sold through British retailers.
It’s good to be able to give injury claim callers the facts about what’s happening and put their minds at rest about compensation. The last thing people want right now is a long and complicated injury claim procedure. I’m able to reassure claimants I can take care of the whole process for them. This is good news as, given the extent of their injuries, they have more than enough to worry about.
This afternoon I spoke to another itchy sofa claimant who bought a leather sofa from Argos a few months ago. Almost immediately after taking delivery of the sofa, she started to experience itchy sofa symptoms – a painful, red rash, itching, blisters and scaly skin. She described it as being like “really bad sunburn”. It was only when a friend told her about the itchy sofa story featured on the BBC Watchdog programme, that she made the connection. Her expensive new sofa was the culprit.
Thankfully for this claimant, the situation is improving. Treatment from her doctor has sorted out her skin symptoms and she’s back to full health. Her itchy sofa compensation claim is also well underway and I’m keeping her fully up to date with progress.
