Former patients of a plastic surgeon are considering taking legal action after a medical disciplinary panel issued the surgeon with a warning.
Dr Ashish Dutta who is based at a clinic in Sunderland was issued with the warning by the General Medical Council because it was found that his actions in the case of two eye lift operations constituted misconduct.
The panel also found that because his skills had improved since the two operations he was fit to practice. He had recognised that he was at fault and had sought additional training to improve his skills.
Both former patients of Dr Dutta are now considering making claims for personal injury.
