Personal Injury Lawyers

The job of the Personal Injury Lawyer is to represent people in legal cases where they have been injured as the result of an accident that wasn’t their fault. They work out and settle disputes through either a process of negotiation and conciliation or through the Courts.

It is essential that claimant gives the personal injury lawyer an accurate and detailed account of the facts so that they can get a good idea of the merits of the case. Your personal injury lawyer should then give you a summery of the viability of your accident claim based on the costs balance against the chances of winning the case.

So that your accident lawyer is able to make a successful accident claim on your behalf you will need to provide them with accurate and detailed evidence.

You may need to supply your solicitor with a medical report from your GP or if your injuries were more serious you will need a hospital report.  From the time of the accident you should keep a diary outlining your injuries and any changes or developments in your condition.

It is also essential that you keep any relevant paperwork like receipts for any costs that you incur as a result of the injury and that you supply your personal injury lawyer with pre and post accident payslips.  The more thorough you are able to be at this stage – the more likely you are to be able to make a successful injury claim.
