RSI Treatments

The treatments for RSI conditions fall into two categories – conventional and complementary.  The categories are broad and sometime overlap with therapies like massage falling into both categories.

Some of the conventional therapies include physiotherapy, medication specifically anti-inflammatory drugs, immobilisation with the use of splints, clinical hypnosis, steroid injections and occasionally surgery.  Conventional treatments also include Chiropractic and Osteopathy, massage and pain management.

Complementary treatments include postural retraining methods like the Alexander technique, Pilate, Yoga, Tai’chi, hands on therapies like the Bowen Technique, programmes of gentle exercise like Feldenkrais, pressure therapy like Shiatsu, Acupuncture and Magnet Therapy.
