The common symptoms

Less common symptoms
A Tingling sensation, pain and heaviness in the arm can all occur following a whiplash injury. However, these are less common symptoms than those already mentioned and are experienced by only 15% of people .
Pain in the arms and shoulders can also be experienced by some people even if there is no injury in these regions. This is known as “referred pain”, and is caused by damage to nerves which can transfer the feeling of pain to other parts of the body.
