Increased Amount of Accident Claims In Bournemouth
Bournemouth Council has announced its plans to repair many of the county roads due to the increased amount of accident claims that have been lodged over the past year.
The council reported that from December 1-18 2009 they received 690 reports of damage to cars or pedestrians. Council maintenance blames the recent spell of cold weather causing further damage to road surfaces and aggravating existing potholes.

Bournemouth council hope to introduce a £2.5 million scheme to help improve and maintain the highways. Cllr Robert Lawson, cabinet member for Environment and Transport said improving Bournemouth's road networks is top priority for the council.
