In November 2016 our client sought help from A & E after suffering from symptoms of numbness in the leg, together with tingling in the leg and groin. Our client was sent for a CT scan on the brain and no further investigations were carried out in relation to a potential vascular condition.

The following day another doctor examined the client and realised that our client had in fact 2 clots in the leg, and sent our client for immediate surgery which lasted 12 hours. Consequently, our client ended up in hospital for 5 weeks, needing 12 transfusions and contracted MRSA. Had our client been diagnosed when they first attended A & E, they could have avoided having to undergo such extensive surgery and the complications that our client suffered from as a result.

Our client instructed Jefferies in 2017 and was represented by Solicitor, Nadine.

The claim settled in October 2020 for £170,000. While this amount cannot erase the distress our client experienced, it goes some way in bringing a degree of closure to their suffering.
