The father of a 3 year old toddler plans to sue a Scottish hotel following a fall during a family holiday.
William Nisbet, from Kennoway Fife, is seeking a personal injury claim of £4000 on behalf of his daughter against the Crief Hydro Hotel in Perth.
Sheonaidh was walking past the Brasserie Restaurant at the hotel with her father, mother Aileen and brother, Liam. She lost her footing and tripped over a protruding metal water service cover. The fall resulted in the girl sustaining cuts to her chin which could lead to possible scarring.
Consultant plastic surgeon JD Watson backed the family in court during the case stating that scars takes longer to mature in children, even as much as two years.
The hotel is fighting this claim saying the parents had a ‘duty to take reasonable care for the health and safety of their daughter.
