Circumstances The client was walking with a relative who was riding a horse. The client was walking on the roadside of the horse when a car came from behind and hit the client. Our client suffered a bleed on the brain and required a craniotomy, plus a fractured ankle. They were in the hospital for nearly 2 months and were unable to work following the accident. Our client instructed us in April 2021 and was represented by Solicitor Kathryn Harland.

The claim was settled in May 2022 for £750,000

Of their experience in claiming with us, the client said "They have an excellent understanding of head and brain injuries. My Legal Team of Kathryn Harland and Beth Morris were very empathetic and supportive of the incident I had been through; the medical treatment received; recognised the gaps in the medical treatment; they understood my rural living situation and sourced 'top of their field' medical professionals allowing sufficient travel time to these appointments. Meetings, by zoom and telephone, were always both professional and friendly; emails were prompt and very explanatory. Kathryn's guidance and advice coupled with information sourced and received from Headway enabled me to be accepting of my recovery road and journey. Again with Kathryn's help and understanding I have accepted the consequences of my head injury and have worked and continue to work to build a life with a head injury."
